What You'll Find Inside: Living Room – Cozy seating for conversation, movie-watching, or relaxing after a day exploring Manhattan. There is also a bonus basement living room with a couch, TV, and game table—the perfect spot to do a puzzle! Dining Room – Gather 10+ friends, family & loved ones around the spacious dining table for family dinners, game nights, or...push the chairs back and try a Pepper Pong match! Office – If work calls, you'll have a dedicated desk, high-speed internet, and a comfortable reading nook stocked with books from our library collection—perfect for unwinding between tasks. Kitchen – Thoughtfully updated with ample counter space for your game day spread, plus a stocked coffee & tea bar and a nugget ice maker—and our newly added dishwasher will make clean up a breeze! Stairs - There are stairs to get in the front door and three stairs down and two steps up to get into the back door. It's not recommended for people that have trouble with stairs. 4 Bedrooms – Queen beds with crisp white bedding, colorful accent pillows, and bright artwork create a welcoming retreat in each room. Blackout curtains and sound machines ensure a restful sleep. Plenty of hooks & racks will hold whatever you bring along. 2 Baths – Two full bathrooms with tub/shower, fresh white towels, and complimentary toiletry items in case you forgot something—we got you covered! Entertainment: Games & Art Supplies – We provide board games, puzzles, and art supplies to spark connection, creativity, and laughter. Music & More – Pair with our Bluetooth speaker to enjoy your favorite tunes or pick up a ukulele and try strumming a little ditty. A Nostalgic Touch – Flip through our collection of Royal Purple yearbooks and take a look back at Wildcat history. EMAW! Original Artwork – Enjoy numerous works of unique photography-based pop art created by the owner—a proud K-State alum! The pieces showcase popular Manhattan establishments, iconic murals & familiar landmarks, all reimagined with a colorful and playful spin. Outdoor Space: Relax with your coffee on the wrap-around front porch with cozy seating, a porch swing, and rocking chairs. In the backyard, you’ll find a fire pit with seating for six, plus a grill for your outdoor cooking needs. Logistics: The Driveway – Ah yes, the driveway—a bit of an adventure in itself! It’s steep, but nothing you can’t handle with a little slow and steady driving. The two egress window wells are clearly marked with reflectors and lights, so you'll be able to steer clear of those with ease. Finally, take care on the way out—on the last stretch of the driveway before the street, taking it at a gentle angle is the secret to getting your car smoothly onto level ground, avoiding any unwanted scrapes! Close to Everything: - 1 minute walk to Longs Park—playground and picnic tables. - 2 minute drive to City Park. - 3 minute drive to Aggieville or the K-State Student Union. - 7 minute drive to Bill Snyder Family Stadium—perfect for game day! Be advised that after you book, you'll be asked to sign a rental agreement that specifies a $350 pre-auth security hold that will be released after your stay - providing no damages. We booked this stay for a sisters trip to Manhattan and will absolutely be staying here again. Becky and Jason were very considerate and responsive hosts! When we first arrived, they checked-in with us to make sure the AC was keeping up with the hot temperatures well enough. The house was clean and comfortable. It’s a great space if traveling with kiddos; they thought of everything and we had all the amenities we needed. The decor was very cute! Highly recommended stay :)

Host is very responsive. This place is very clean and organized. We highly recommend this place, it makes you feel like you’re at home. Fully equipped with all you need for your stay. Plenty of entertainment for adults and kids.

I reserved The Happy Little Apple for my adult children and they were blown away by this charming little house! They had 2 babies with them, so I knew a stand-alone house would work better than a hotel or apartment-style rental so as not to disturb others or be disturbed by them. The kids loved the central location and proximity to the places they needed to be, but what they loved most were all the cute and thoughtful touches the owner provided. Its big kitchen and open concept living/dining area made it a perfect place for them to eat together, visit, and reconnect. We were in town for a funeral and the owner’s flexibility and attention to detail were such a comfort during this difficult time. We would rent it again in a heartbeat!

We have stayed in many Airbnbs - none better than this one. The house is both beautiful and super comfortable. The beds and linens were lovely - and having a noise machine in each bedroom made for great sleeping. The kitchen had everything we needed. And the house is a short drive to KSU and downtown. We will be back!

We ended up in the area on Christmas Day due to my son being in the Army. We wanted a festive place with enough room for my husband & I & our 3 adult children. This house ticked EVERY box! It was clean & fresh looking with pops of beautiful colors. There was a bigger tree & a couple small ones & holiday pillows & lots of special touches. I have to add, the way it was equipped was wonderful…from tons of games to art supplies to kitchen & bath items…everything organized, labeled & stocked up! If I was grading this property I’d absolutely give it an A++.

This is an adorable rental and it was perfect for our Thanksgiving KSU game weekend getaway with our adult children. The hosts have thought of everything that you could possibly need during your visit. We were greeted with snacks and treats upon arrival. There is a cute coffee bar. The kitchen has all the utensils, appliances, and even spices. Everything is labeled for easy location. The weather didn't cooperate, but there was even an umbrella for us to use. The basement provides a separate living area for additional privacy. We will definitely stay here again if available.
